Caring for your lace
To wash Nottingham Lace, always turn the garment inside out to protect the threads. Hand wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent for delicate fabrics. Avoid wringing or rubbing the lace. Rinse thoroughly in cool water until it runs clear.
Gently press out excess water by hand—do not twist or wring. Lay the garment flat on a clean towel to dry, reshaping it to preserve the design. Keep it out of direct sunlight and heat. Never tumble dry. If needed, iron on low heat, pressing on the reverse side with a cloth between the iron and lace for protection.
British heritage in a top. Made in lace from the world-famous Cluny Lace factory in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. A family business for generations supplying major couture houses and the Royal Family, this is the last place in England to be manufacturing cotton lace.
This simple T-shirt shape can be dressed up for the evening with a skirt (shown here with our lace skirt) or dressed down with a pair of jeans for casual glamour. This exquisite lace is nice and dense, so good to wear with a flesh-toned or black bra with no need for a lining. The neck closes with a mother-of-pearl button and loop.
