Fabric Care
For machine washing cotton, use a delicate cycle with cold water (30°C or below). For handwashing, use lukewarm water to prevent colour fading. Gently agitate the garment in soapy water, then rinse thoroughly.
Squeeze out excess water and shake the dress to minimize creases. Avoid tumble dryers, as the heat can damage the fabric and consume excessive energy. Instead, air dry cotton garments outdoors in a breeze to keep them almost crease-free. In colder months, hang them indoors (away from radiators) for a gentle drying process.
If you need to iron (often Liberty Tana Lawn does not need ironing) do so on a gentle heat.

This dress is based on a beautiful antique artist's smock I have in my vintage collection. It is both practical and luxuriously styled. A great dress for day worn freestyle with flats, given an evening twist when cinched for evening.
Simple and understated, it contains many hidden details; Collarless style, yoke front and back, deeply gathered sleeves into a button cuff. Deep slip pockets in front panel seams. Mother of pearl buttons. Comes with a soft sash belt. Maxi length. Unlined.
Made in a luxurious organic double cotton gauze fabric that is neither too heavy or transparent. Perfect for the English weather.
Choosing the right size: This is a one-size dress; wonderfully easy and comfy and you pull it on over your head - couldn't be easier! Although a free-size fit it does not drown and can be cinched in with its optional belt Please note we have made just one size in this dress which will fit regular dress sizes between 8-16.
