Caring for your linen

To care for linen, always turn garments inside out before washing. Use lukewarm water (30°C or less) on a gentle cycle or wash by hand. Fasten buttons and hooks before washing.

Do not wring or tumble dry—air dry instead. If drying in the sun, avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading (except for white linen, which brightens in the sun). Iron while damp for a crisp finish, pressing from the inside to avoid shine. Embrace linen’s natural texture and gentle creasing—it’s part of its charm!

This striking black and white gingham in pure Irish linen gives our Lavenham Dress a fresh, graphic simplicity, nostalgic and modern all at the same time. Equally at home in town or country, or dressed up with a favourite shoe.

The Lavenham is our much-loved elevated ‘t-shirt’ dress. Deep bust darts create a flattering fit through the bodice, while a softly raised waist with gentle gathers falls into a flowing skirt. Sleeves are three quarter and can easily be folded back, scoop softly bound neckline slips on simply over the head. Roomy side slip pockets and a low calf-length hem. Luxurious practicality and versatility.

Made in England, in small batches, in weighty Irish linen which has a beautiful natural texture, cool against the skin and softens over time.

Finding Your Perfect Fit
These are the garment measurements (not your body!) – the bust circumference of the dress measures:

Extra Small: 92 cm
Small: 98 cm
Medium: 102 cm
Large: 108 cm

Here’s the trick: measure your bust, then pick the dress that’s around 4 cm bigger. That little extra room gives you the perfect drape, comfy movement, and that effortless JT style. This is an Easy Fit Dress.
