Caring for your linen
To care for linen, always turn garments inside out before washing. Use lukewarm water (30°C or less) on a gentle cycle or wash by hand. Fasten buttons and hooks before washing.
Do not wring or tumble dry—air dry instead. If drying in the sun, avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading (except for white linen, which brightens in the sun). Iron while damp for a crisp finish, pressing from the inside to avoid shine. Embrace linen’s natural texture and gentle creasing—it’s part of its charm!
Inspired by archival Edwardian details, this new skirt in the collection is a modern romantic! Made in laundered Irish linen in a fresh red and white stripe, hemmed with rich cotton Nottingham lace, this skirt incorporates heritage and craft.
The shape is slightly slimmer than our regular Bobbie skirts, cut with ease but not to overwhelm. With a flat waistband at the front and a drawstring detail at the back to 'pull-in', this is a one size for all skirt so there are no worries about which size to choose!
Linen has been woven in Ireland for centuries, and our linen is slightly heavier than most, given a wonderful 'vintage look' through tumble washing whilst ensuring no-shrinking in washing.
