British heritage in an exquisite 'little black dress' made in lace from the world-famous Cluny Lace factory in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. A family business for generations supplying major couture houses and the Royal Family, this is the last place in England to be manufacturing cotton lace. 

We nearly called this the 'forever dress' as it is a piece to love & wear endlessly. The style exudes quiet glamour; it is classically elegant and utterly timeless. Perfect for any special occasion, it can be rolled up into a generously sized handbag for a quick change en route! 

We have made a separate full-length slip. However, as this exquisite lace is nice and dense, you can wear it without an underslip if you choose to or swap in with a slip of your own colour choice. The neck closes with a 

mother-of-pearl button and loop.
