Fabric Care

For machine washing cotton, use a delicate cycle with cold water (30°C or below). For handwashing, use lukewarm water to prevent colour fading. Gently agitate the garment in soapy water, then rinse thoroughly.

Squeeze out excess water and shake the dress to minimize creases. Avoid tumble dryers, as the heat can damage the fabric and consume excessive energy. Instead, air dry cotton garments outdoors in a breeze to keep them almost crease-free. In colder months, hang them indoors (away from radiators) for a gentle drying process.

If you need to iron (often Liberty Tana Lawn does not need ironing) do so on a gentle heat.

The Didsbury is an everyday dress created in a timeless gingham. A 'sister' to our ever popular Camden Passage Dress, the Didsbury dress carries the same easy fit, this time with a simple button front and shirt cuffs to roll up or down. Self fabric ruffle at neckline. As have so many of our dresses we provide a self-fabric sash, to give a waisted shape or wear free and breezy. Side slip pockets. British made sustainable cream buttons with red thread.

This is a beautiful dress, very easy to wear and good quality cotton. I bought an Extra Small, although I would normally take a small, and it is a nice fit. I would thoroughly recommend it …but it is very expensive

All our dresses are carefully made in small batches in the UK as Justine is passsionate about supporting all the wonderful manufacturing capabilities we have at home + reducing the carbon footprint of each piece. Frustraingly, this way of doing buiness does not come easy or cheap, but non-the-less it is what we belive in.
