Rain rain go away ... we've had quite a swing around weather-wise, with flood warnings quite literally raining on the parade of many an event. And now gatherings have come back on the agenda, I've heard from quite a few of you asking about a dress to buy for a special event, whether a wedding, anniversary, trip away, festival or simply a family get-together. Might I suggest a few of my favourites, simple styles that last more than a season and can be dressed up or down, come rain or shine, espadrilles or wellies! All made in beautiful Liberty tana lawn, these frocks are comfortable and cool, easy to wash, and make everyday feel like a special occasion.

We had a good test run recently at our 'high summer' shoot with unscheduled downpours for the occasion! The Camden Passage Dress is a firm favourite in the collection, and can be dressed up or down. Here we have it thrown on with wellies for an effortless put-together look, or add a belt and jewellery for that special event.

Let's dance! Swishy and free, we named this dress  the 'Fiesta' at a time when we longed for socialising, parties and dancing...

And lastly, with a nod to 'Bridgerton', we styled the Pavilion dress with a soft empire line, perfect for summer events and a lovely neckline for dressing up with jewellery.
